Additional Mathematics (Add Math) Lesson Plan
Arithmetic Progression – This lesson covers the Arithmetic Progression or Arithmetic Sequence. It runs through the basics and then progresses to methods to find the nth term of a Arithmetic Sequence and finally, the method to find the sum of n terms of an Arithmetic Progression. It also covers the derivation of the formulas to find the nth term and the sum of n terms.
Geometric Progression – This lesson runs through the basics of Geometric Progressions or Geometric Sequences. The method to find the nth term and the method to find the sum of n terms is also presented. Finally, the formula for finding the sum of an infinite series is discussed. It also covers the derivation of the formulas to find the nth term and the sum of n terms.
Linear Equations – Linear equations covers the very basic of equations in math. In this lesson, the equation of a straight line in the format of y=mx + c and the characteristics of a straight line are presented. The method to plot a graph of Line of Best Fit is given in great detail.
Non-Linear Equations – This lesson is an extension of the Linear Equations. In this lesson, the equations of a curve and the characteristics of a curve are presented. Also, the method to reduce a Non-Linear Equation to a Linear format is presented.
Differentiation - Differentiation is Part 1 of Calculus. In this topic, the basic concept of Calculus and the methods to derive the formulas for Differentiation are presented in a step-by-step guide. This is including the Chain Rule. The concept of limit are presented as well. A lot of Math Worksheets in Differentiation are also provided for practice and exercise. Integration - Integration is Part 2 of Calculus.
